In a night to remember, Charl Brown, who was nominated for a Tony for his role as Smokey Robinson on Broadway in Motown: The Musical, celebrates Smokey’s story and his many hit songs such as Shop Around, Going To A Go-Go, You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me, My Girl and more. Charl perfectly and uncannily captures the very core of Smokey and as the story goes, when he was portraying him on Broadway, Smokey came backstage, smiled at him and said, “Hello, Me”. Charl’s performance also explores his own story as a Broadway actor and includes songs from Hair, Jersey Boys, Pippin,. Sister Act and The Wiz.
