Made up of South Florida area classical musicians, the orchestra will
present an exciting program of classical favorites on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
For its inaugural concert at
Kings Point, Orchestra Delray will perform Beethoven’s most easily recognizable
work and an audience favorite, his Fifth Symphony. The orchestra will also be performing the
beautiful Brahms Double Concerto in A minor for violin, cello and orchestra
with soloists Ross Harbaugh, internationally acclaimed cellist and professor of
music at the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Bettina Mussumeli,
solo violinist, First Violinist with the Ives String Quartet and professor of
music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Ms. Mussumeli and Mr. Harbaugh have both
performed extensively in this country as well as Europe and Asia.
The program will open with
the overture from Le Muletier by Ferdinand Herold.
